Dardanup Bull & Barrel Festival
The Dardanup Bull & Barrel Festival is proudly brought to you by the Dardanup Community as a celebration of the diversity and vibrancy the town has to offer.
This free festival is created by the Dardanup Community to celebrate the diverse offerings of the Dardanup region. It is a great low cost day out for families with over 150 market and food stalls, live music and demonstrations, a monster kids craft marquee and plenty of animals! Other attractions include the Tastes of the Ferguson Valley tent, trash and treasure stalls, Die cast toys and mini trains and of course the Wespine Fire Sculpture. The festival's spectacular finale is in the evening. Live entertainment is provided until the lighting of the Wespine Fire Sculpture which is always built by a local artist. Hear the crowd roar as the ‘bull’ burns!
Toodyay Agricultural Show
Experience a country show and enjoy the entertainment, displays and exhibitions at the Toodyay Showgrounds.
The Toodyay Agricultural Show offers a forum for local businesses and producers to exhibit, display and participate in different arenas, eg. cattle, sheep, goats, home produce and many more. The Show displays unique exhibits by local artists and crafters and has an extensive entertainment programme.

Plein Air Down Under Outdoor Painting Festival
This festival celebrates everything to do with outdoor painting with a range of workshops, paint outs, exhibitions, awards and prizes, demonstrations and artist talks in and around Mandurah.
Plein Air Down Under invites artists to join in the fun of the Peel Region's outdoor painting festival. Come and paint, or come and watch! Over $8,000 in cash and prizes is on offer for artists accepting the challenge of capturing the character and beauty of Mandurah and Pinjarra’s natural and built environment.
Artists will sign in at 9am on 25 September and paint outdoors in various locations around the Mandurah foreshore area (and Pinjarra townsite on the Sunday), across the three full days of the long weekend. This makes for a vibrant event for the public to wander amongst whilst enjoying the Mandurah foreshore areas and venues and the historic Pinjarra townsite.

What is Plein Air Painting?
En plein air is a French expression meaning "in the open air" and refers to the act of painting outdoors. The artist's subject is in full view, with no photographic reference. It allows the artist to paint a moment in time, in real time. Plein air artists capture the spirit and essence of a landscape or subject by incorporating natural light, colour and movement.
Mount Magnet Astro Rocks Fest
Mount Magnet Astro Rocks Fest is a three day event celebrating the ancient land beneath our feet, associated biodiversity, awesome night sky above and cultural connections with local Badimia people.
Astro Rocks Fest connects people to the night sky, through an astrofest evening with displays ,space dome, night sky tours, Scitech science shows and a range of telescopes focussing on different parts of the night sky. There will be astronomers to help you and your family explore the universe. Astronomy talks include the remarkable Square Kilometre Array. Presentations by experts in the fields of geology (including associated biodiversity and cultural aspects) offer rare insights into this unique Murchison GeoRegion. Field Trips to geo sites follow, for those who wish to discover more. Workshops include Astrophotography, lapidary and gold detecting. There are Ramelius Minesite and cultural site bus tours, Down to Earth Markets, a Rock Climbing Wall and Live Reptile Displays. A Festival Film is held in the Outdoor Cinema under the stars. Exhibitions include Wirnda Barna Artists canvas artwork, quilt art, landscape photography, astrophotography and pottery, with many artworks also offered for sale.
Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show
The Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show celebrates and showcases the abundance of floral diversity in the region. A tribute to the rugged and natural beauty of the region, the show continues to inspire amateurs and enthusiasts alike with its depth, breadth and quality of flowers on display.
The Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show brings nature to town in a way that enables tourists, enthusiasts, botanists and locals to enjoy the extraordinary biodiversity in a world class display. Each year, dedicated, qualified and licensed pickers head out to their allotted destinations to gather flowers and deliver them to the herbarium in town. The specimens are then sorted, classified and placed on display. On average approximately 700 different species are featured at the show.
Wattle Week Festival Dalwallinu
There are daily activities for all to enjoy. The fun starts with children's activities in the park, combined church services, family quiz night, farming tour, barbecues at the caravan park and many other activities along with wildflowers galore.
Australian National Ballooning Championships - Northam
The skies of Northam will again be filled with hot air balloons for the Australian National Championships.
Shire of Northam President Cr Chris Antonio said "Northam is Australia's premier hot air ballooning destination. This exciting and prestigious event adds another reason to visit the Avon Valley region and explore beautiful Ballardong country as well as all that the town of Northam has to offer."
The Shire of Northam will be delivering a number of unique ballooning themed activities during the Championships including the visually spectacular 'Balloon Glow' and Festival. Along with 'The History of Ballooning' display at the Northam Visitor Centre, a Ballooning Photographic Gallery and a Pop-up Ballooning Shop on Fitzgerald Street.
The Shire of Northam congratulates the organising committee 'Northam Ballooning Events' for the outstanding work they have done to secure the event.
Balingup Medieval Carnival - Mini-Eval Fest 2021
Combat performances by the Grey Company and Knights of the Free Company, puppetry, music, dance, theatre, will all be part of this magical day... And we will finish with a bonfire of mythical proportions! The Balingup Medieval Carnivale is held in the magical town of Balingup over the 4th weekend of August. The carnivale has evolved from a half day event outside the town hall in 1996 to a weekend full of medieval fun. Proudly the largest and oldest medieval carnivale in Western Australia!

Cattleyard promotions brings a new festival to Australia, showcasing our Aussie talent! Building on the foundations of Grooving the Moo, Fresh Produce presents the freshest talent, featuring ripe handfuls of artists that represent the spread of exceptional, diverse and inspiring music in Australia.
G Flip, Cosmo's Midnight and Spacey Jane will take to the stage on the Friday night, while Lime Cordiale, Mallrat and Hooligan Hefs will play on the Saturday night.

Avon Descent Finish Line Family Fun Day
Come along to the Avon Descent Finish Line Family Fun Day to celebrate the competitors as they cross the finish line, after paddling a grueling 124 kilometres over two days.
This fun and exciting event is held at Riverside Gardens on Milne Street, Bayswater. The Avon Descent is Western Australia’s own unique sporting event that attracts competitors and spectators from all over. Bring your familyand friends and enjoy the food vans, free entertainment, exciting race atmosphere and much more.
Toodyay International Food Festival
Combine the thrill of the Avon Descent with delicious cuisine at the annual Toodyay International Food Festival.
Held on the banks of the Avon River in Stirling Park & Duidgee Park, Toodyay, the festival allows visitors, race spectators and festival goers the perfect view of the Avon Descent. 25 Distillers will be serving G&Ts for you throughout the sessions. You can sample their product which will be matched to a range of Artisan tonic waters in a little sparkling ice. Choose a drink, buy some tasty morsels and move on to the next distiller as you pace yourself.
Yes there will be food for sale however the distillers’ G&Ts are on the house and all bottles are available for purchase and take home.
The Champagne Cocktail Bar will be open mixing French bubbles with Aussie gin if it’s to your liking. Australia’s number one bartender MIKEY ENRIGHT will feature in the Cocktail Bar in every session. Champagne cocktail using Australian craft gin. Watch and learn from the expert. (Note: Cocktails at standard prices).
There will be food demonstrations including some finger food samples. There will be food stalls providing a range of tasty treats for purchase.
